NBA Anti Awards

Least Valuable Player: The LVP to this point is......JJ Hickson. Congratulations to Cavs fans for finally winning something, unfortunately its having the least valuable player. When LeBron left everyone expected JJ Hickson to step up and carry this team. Many people had the Cavs as an eight seed for the playoffs in the preseason. Hickson was never anything special, he averaged 8.5 points and 5 rebounds a season ago and this was somehow suppose to be the savior of the franchise. Well Hickson has not blossomed into that 20-10 guy fans thought he could be and I am sure they are wishing they moved him at the trade deadline last year when every team wanted him, including the Suns. Hickson has improved this season averaging 11.2 points and 7 rebounds, but still this is the guy the Cavs were banking on! The main reason and I can not stress this enough why JJ is placed here is because they REFUSED to deal him last year. A lot of teams wanted him and would have dealt players such as Amare to Cleveland for him, but no the Cavs decided to hang on to him like Ronnie hanging onto Sammy. Well just like Jersey Shore this relationship is dyeing. And it should surprise no one that the Cavs are on are anti- awards. Serves Gilbert right for slammed LeBron after the decision.

The Lindsey Lohan Award: This is awarded to the player who has anti-improved this season. The winner here is Brook Lopez. I thought about placing Danny Granger here due to the fact he finally has a good cast around him and still cant win but that all changed once i remember Brook Lopez rebounds about as well as Brook Hogan. Yea Lopez is averaging 19 points a game but he is only averaging 5.7 rebounds a game. That's down from last seasons 8.7 and his rookie year where he grabbed 8.1. Lopez has only had two games all season where he grabbed more than 10 rebounds. He's 7 foot tall but rebounds like he is Earl Boykins. At this rate he will be averaging more assists than rebounds. Who knows maybe Brook will actually take the rout of Lindsey, wash out of the league, start rolling with Kris Humphrey and Kim Kardshain and develop a coke problem. Hey at least Dr. Drew would finally have a REAL celebrity.

The Willow Smith Award: This award goes to the worst rookie. The winner here is Ekpe Udoh and like Willow Smith he sucks. Udoh was the sixth pick out of Baylor by the Warriors this year and is taking the league by storm with his 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds. You would think that Golden State would learn their lesson and stop drafting raw big men who showed no real abilities in college i.e. Brandon Wright and Anthony Randolph, but nope they drafted Udoh and Udoh has been nothing but an Uh oh.

The Shawn Bradley Award: This goes to the player who is 6'10 or taller and who has the highest ability of getting their shot blocked. Jermaine O'Neal takes home this award. I had to find a way to get O'neal on this list some how because watching him this season just makes me cringe. He is awful, he honestly has no redeeming qualities as a basketball player. On defense he is slow and looks like Forrest Gump trying to run up and down and for offense, well to sum it up he does a better job portraying I am Sam then Sean Penn did.

The Charlie Sheen Award: This award is presented to a player who got paid a lot and then basically just blew the money away (literally and figuratively). Im sure the owner just like CBS wishes they could void these contract in the worst way. Rashard Lewis runs away with this award. Like Sheen, Lewis is highly paid. In fact this season he is the second highest paid player only behind Kobe. Lewis is pulling in just over $20 million this season and for what? 13 points and 5 rebounds. At least with Sheen he is a funny actor even when he's doing coke and paying hookers. Lewis just brings nothing to the Wizards.
