About Us

Marcus- I am a first year law school student at the University of Massachusetts School of Law-Dartmouth. I played football for five years. Four of which where for my high school, at Bishop Stang starting on both the offensive and defensive lines. I recieved all conference and reigional all-first team honors on a team that won back to back conference championships, and made a state championship appearance. I received a football scholarship to play offensive line at Dean College where I was the reserve right tackle for a team that went 10-1 and won the Northeast Football Conference championship. I then decided to focus on academics and transferred to Bridgewater State University for my undergraduate studies. I mostly cover basketball on BDL Sports because it is what I know best. I am from Southern New England but outside of being a Patriots fan I have little attachment to the Boston-area sports franchises. My other favorite teams include the Los Angeles Lakers, Duke Blue Devils, and San Antonio Spurs. My favorite athletes are Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady, Tim Duncan and Randy Moss.

Mike- To this point in my life I have spent time as a sports writer at a newspaper and worked in radio. I have worked at West Virginia University's college radio station, u92. There I have covered several sports and held a leadership position as the main host of the sports talk show, The Sportspage. I am now embarking on a new venture as co-host of the Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show, it can be heard live and archived through http://www.blogtalkradio.com/howitzerbuzzsaw. On top of that, I contribute to http://www.412sportstalk.net/ and perform various tasks at places such as FOX Sports in Pittsburgh.
