Jim Tressel will endure a 2 game suspension at the start of next season and be fined $250,000. This comes following a recent report stating he was made aware of several Buckeyes taking part in a memorabilia scheme. It is believed the legendary coach knew numerous Ohio State football players such as Terrelle Pryor were involved in selling their personal items associated with their collegiate careers 7 months prior to it becoming public knowledge in the weeks leading up to the teams BCS Sugar Bowl game. The punishment is due to his failure to inform his athletic department and the NCAA with this knowledge immediately.
Pryor and the other athletes involved will be suspended for the first 5 games of the 2011 season. These players initially made an agreement with Tressel promising their coach they would return to school if allowed to start in the Sugar Bowl. Tressel's suspension is self imposed by Ohio State University.
Jim Tressel owns a 106 - 22 overall record, 7 Big-Ten titles, a 6-4 record in bowl games, and won the 2002 National Championship in 10 seasons at Ohio State. Before joining the Buckeyes Tressel won 4 Division 1-AA National Titles while at Youngstown State.

The first two games of the season are home to Akron and Toledo. Ohh shit Ohio State really threw the book at him. How are they going to beat Akron and Toledo without Tressel!? They should have taken his sweater vests, that would have been a far steeper punishment.
