Sweet 16

We are down to the sweet 16 and like everyone else in America my bracket is DONE! Thanks to VCU, Marquette, Richmond, Florida State and Butler my bracket now looks like a small Japanese town. It was said that this was the worst bracket in a long time and it true. I hate upsets as much as a diabetic hates sour patch kids. Give me chalk, I could care less about VCU or Richmond. There is nothing exciting about seeing five guys who will be working in real estate in the next few years. I want to see the big boys play each not these no names.

Not even Bill Self can
screw this one up
The Southwest bracket is by far the biggest catastrophe. There is Kansas and everybody else. Richmond, VCU and Florida State round out the other three teams left in that bracket. Ill give a $100 to anyone who can name a player from each of those teams. How exciting is it really going to be watching Kansas beat Richmond by double digits and then do the same to the winner of the glorified NIT matchup, Florida State vs. VCU. The only other bracket comparable in the history of the tournament was in 1986, when Duke was the No. 1 and they were joined by No. 12 DePaul, No. 14 Cleveland State and No.7 Navy. That year Duke won their two games by a combined 28 points. Kansas will get through these next two games faster than Lawrence Taylor at a sweet 16.

What in the french toast has happened to the Big East. Wasn't this suppose to be the greatest conference ever? Well after sending a record 11 teams to the big dance only two remain. Uconn and Marquette are the last of the so called super conference. Pitt, Notre Dame and Louisville are the biggest reason why people are shitting on the Big East right now. Pitt was a No.1 seed and got bounced by Butler in the second round after creating a bizarro finish in which they fouled with .9 seconds. Louisville failed to even make it out of the first round after they lost to Morehead State. I repeat Morehead State. I am figuring Pitno was already thinking about Karen Sypher. Finally there is Notre Dame. The Irish got flat out smoked against Florida State. They had the best player in the best conference and lost by 14. They jacked up about 150 3-point shots and hit about two of them. Maybe Uconn and Marquette can salvage whats left of the Big East name this season, but don't bet on that. Marquette gets to play UNC and if by some miracle they win they will then get Ohio State and get beaten just like every other Big East team. And o yeah Uconn, well they get a healthy Duke who will beat them by 10 or more because they are a bunch of Uncle Tom's.

I believe the Southeast is trying to set the record for one bracket having key white guys lead their team. Matt Howard, Jimmer Fredette, Chandler Parsons and Jon Leuer are the four best players in this bracket and guess what they are all white. What are the odds? I guess the odds were as good as three horse shit double digits seeds reaching the sweet 16 in one region. But in all seriousness lets give a round of applause for the revolution of white basketball. What is even better is all of these guys will suck in the pros. Yes that means Jimmer too. Congrats to him and his jump shot, Adam Morrison could shoot too, but you know what Morrison could not do? Play defense, just like Jimmer. I am so sick of this BYU team and their Honor Code. I hope Florida beats them by 40 while being amped on on energy drinks and coffee and after they win Billy Donovan can celebrate by chain smoking and encouraging under age sex. O yea and Wisconsin plays Butler if anyone actually cares. The first one to 15 probably wins this game. I would rather watch the Situation roast 20 more people than watch Butler play Wisconsin.

How the West was won. It was won by Uncle Tom's Cabin. I mean Duke. Duke gets Arizona and I have seen Arizona play. Their guards suck to put it nicely. If Derrick Williams doesn't score 30 and grab 10 plus rebounds Arizona will get killed. Now that Kyrie Irving is back Duke is the best team and it kills me to say that. Plain and simple they are just a better team. Kyrie Irving is to Duke what Charlie Sheen is to Two and a Half Men. With Irving Duke is probably the best team in the country. With Sheen, Two and a Half Men is probably the best show on TV. Without Irving Duke is still good but not great. Just like Duke, Two and a Half Men will be good but not great without Sheen.

Staying in the West, was there anything more interesting than Tennessee basketball? Days before the Vols are about to play Michigan AD Mike Hamilton goes on radio and basically says Bruce Pearl is done. After hearing that wonderful news Tennessee came out and only lost by 30 to Michigan. Just one year ago Bruce Pearl had this team in the Elite Eight and now he is out of work. The guy is a great coach, so what if he cheated. Bruce Pearl will get another job, most likely in C-USA where it seems all good coaches go to die (Mike Davis, Matt Doherty, Larry Eustachy and Tim Floyd).

Last but not least there is the East bracket. Ohio State faces Kentucky and UNC will play Marquette. Ohio State fires 3-pointers at the same rate that the U.S is bombing Libya. It's a dangerous thing too just look at Notre Dame and see how well taking 100 3's worked out for them. Kentucky is young, real young. They certainly have the talent to pull off the upset and they have the coaching as well. I have said it once and I will say it again Kentucky can win this game. And you know what, after my bracket went to shit I am going to pick Kentucky. Their fans travel well so it could be like a home game for the young Wildcats. Eventually all these shots will stop falling for the Buckeyes in the same manner that they stopped falling for the Irish. O yeah Carolina plays Marquette as well. The 11 best Big East team against the second best ACC team. If the Heels don't score 85 and win by 10 I'm going to go all Chris Brown and start breaking shit. Marquette is Juco U basically with all these dam transfers. Unc has too much talent.

  1. Two and a Half Men is not that best show on television. It's not even that good.

  2. Rattings beg to differ. If they ever tried without the only actor/character winning it would never have worked anyway.

  3. This year an episode of Jersey Shore was the highest rate episode of all time for their primetime slot. So that's what I have to say about ratings
